“Mock Heart” is a beautiful collection of poetry. Jill Bialosky has a distinct voice on the page; her work makes me feel like I am observing a discourse between a brilliant mind and a beaming heart.
Bialosky writes about unimaginable grief and sorrow, but also about fragile joys and hope, and healing. So many of her poems struck a chord within me. I found myself going back and reading them aloud to feel her words. These are beautiful, nuanced poems, honest and raw-edged. Thet grasp your mind and linger after you have closed the book.
